I have been hairdressing for over 35 years, starting my career at MichaelJohn in Mayfair.  I subsequently spent 20 years working at John Frieda, during which time I went from sweeping the floors as a junior, to becoming one of the owners of the salon company.  I opened and ran salons for the John Frieda Company in London, New York, Los Angeles and Barbados.

During my time at John Frieda I was called upon to speak publicly on TV, Radio and at live events on behalf of the John Frieda hair product company in the US, Canada, the UK, France, Holland, Norway, Belgium and Australia.  

After parting company with John Frieda in 2003 I have worked as a freelance hairdresser and consultant to the hairdressing industry, which included 18 months in ‘Managing Director’ capacity for Nicky Clarke. 

In my career I have worked extensively with celebrities from TV, film, music and fashion.

I have worked on fashion shows and shoots in London, Paris, New York and Milan.  I have styled the hair of models such as Helena Christianson, made over a Prime Ministers wife and was pleased to be Julia Roberts personal hairdresser for the movie 'Closer'.

In 2012 I was proud to be asked to be LOCOGs “Headline Talent Hairdresser’ for the opening and closing ceremonies of both The London Olympic and Paralympic games. 

I have consulted for Goody Hair Products and Phytologie.  I was the Hair Expert for the launch of the Liz Earle hair care range, and remained with them until the company was sold to Avon. 

I managed Daniel Galvin’s 9000 sq ft flag ship salon in Marylebone, London. 

In non Covid times I travel frequently, regularly visiting clients abroad.

I am currently cutting and styling hair at the Steven Carey Salon in Mayfair, as a freelance operator.
